Radical Love, The Vow

Having entered the cloistered monastery seven years ago, Sister Maria Teresa has chosen to lead a hidden life of prayer and ritual, removing herself from the outside world in order to focus on the spiritual realm and a higher calling--praying to save all souls. She devotes her time to prayer, work, and study—each an essential element of Dominican life.

Now 28, she embarks upon her Solemn Profession, the second of two ritual ceremonies sealing her dedication. She will receive a simple gold band within the ceremony, much like a wedding ring, symbolizing her vows and final commitment to God. Dozens of friends and family members attend to witness this important event.
